POWDER COATED FRAME COLORS
BOUNDER Power Wheelchair frames and metal components are powder coated. Powder coating uses an electrostatic process to apply a powder to the metal components. After the powder is applied, the metal components are then baked, curing the paint into a very hard finish. This process provides a thicker and more durable finish than conventional types of paint. The standard frame color is a black semi-gloss. Alternate colors can be ordered for an up charge. In addition, there are a few select premium metallic and translucent colors are available. If you cannot find a color you like, then a custom Prismatic powder coat color can be ordered and applied to your frame. If you choose a frame color other than black typically only the base frame color changes. Many of the other components can be painted the same color as the base such as the seat frame, arms, etc. Please note that some wheelchair parts will stay in their native black color.
