21st Century Scientific's Anterior Power Tilt System (APTS) can be installed on all BOUNDER models. With a anterior power tilt system, the user can control the angle between the seat and the ground. The back of the seat tilts up from the normal driving position, and the seat and back move together. This allows for easier transfers into and out of the chair from a standing position. Toggle switch control is standard. Usually the tilt can be adjusted over a 20 degree range. The seat to back angle is fixed, usually at 94.5 degrees, though other seat to back angles can be custom ordered. The arms move with the seat. Front rigging is attached to the base of the chair and do not move with the seat. Most styles of BOUNDER arms and front rigging can be installed on reverse power tilt systems, including DIPLR dual independent power elevating legrests.

Many owners prefer a Reverse Power Tilt System in combination with a power recline, power seat elevator, and/or power legrests.

OPTIONS

HEADREST - PTS does not include a headrest. Since most users do require a headrest, be sure to order one if you need it. Many styles are available; adjustable center post headrests are the most popular.

JOYSTICK PSS CTRL - Joystick Control of Power Seating System. Allows user to control up to six different actuators through the joystick. Speed and direction of movement are controlled by joystick position. Control is very smooth and actuator jerking is eliminated.
