Bariatric patients, aggressive drivers, and/or those who frequently drive on carpets or off-road terrain may experience a significant reduction in range. Low tire pressure, weak battery condition, and/or poor overall chair maintenance may also contribute to reduced range. Always maintain your gurney in good working order, properly charge or replace your batteries when appropriate, and maintain your pneumatic tire pressure between 50-60 lbs per square inch for best results.

MANUAL AND POWER GURNEY OPTIONS Power or manual chest and head tilt system - tilts the front portion of a specially constructed full-length cushion pan up at the front. This tilts the user's chest and head up. Cushion pan is fabricated about 8” narrower under the user's face and chest to allow user to rest arms on a smaller fixed cushion below. Order cushions separately. Gurney power elevate system - elevates the entire mattress pan from approximately 20” to 40”. (Some restrictions apply) Gurney power tilt system - tilts front of entire mattress pan up and down; changes weight distribution and brings user’s face and arms up as high as 5 to 6 feet above ground. Helps to reach high objects or adjust to different work surface heights. Below is a custom gurney with extra high elevation (the standard elevation is 13” this gurney has 20” of elevation) and custom tilt system. This gurney also had a second set of batteries with a 24 volt to 110 volt converter to power an adjustable pressure relieving air mattress. It also had a trapeze for the user to mount items onto and to reposition himself in the gurney. Notice the personal fan, another 21st Century accessory.
