Super Torque 2 Motors & Brakes (ST2M&B)-Discontinued
Same features as STMB listed above except:
-
Better hill climbing for users over 300 lbs
-
1/4 HP PM motors produce 30% MORE TORQUE, 25% less speed than ST1M&B
-
4.9 to 8.2 MPH top speed, depending upon drive train selected

Super Torque 3 Motors & Brakes (ST3M&B)
STANDARD ON ALL H-FRAMES - Same features as ST1M&B listed above except:
-
Best hill climbing for all users
-
Nearly 1/2 HP PM larger diameter, more efficient motors produce:
- 20% more torque than ST1M&B with no speed reduction or 60% more torque with 25% less speed
- 6.6 to 12.2 MPH top speed, depending upon drive train selected
-
Larger diameter motor pulleys are more efficient and increase motor pulley and belt life
-
Improved motor and drive train efficiencies increase the driving range per battery charge while running cooler
-
OVERSIZED ST3 BRAKES have twice the holding power; will hold a 500 lb occupant on a 14 degree hill

Optional Super Torque 1S Motors & Brakes (ST1S M&B)
DRIVE PULLEY, BELT AND SPROCKET OPTIONS
|
Non-slip Panther drive (Standard on H-frame style)
|
|
V-belt drive
Conventional Frame Only
- Very smooth and almost silent
- Economical 4L belts are widely available
|
Both V-belt and Panther drive systems feature different sizes of interchangeable drive (motor) pulleys (or sprockets), which allow the top speed and torque of the chair (or gurney) to be matched to the needs of the user. Two sizes of drive wheel pulleys are also usually available for conventional frames. The factory will optimize drive train ratio based upon user profile information gathered when the chair or gurney is ordered. The dealer can easily make changes in the field should the user's needs change. |
